Bishop's Falls makes it easy to explore the Exploits Valley and surrounding coastal communities. Icebergs, whale watching and scenic communities are all within an hour's drive. Excellent fishing can be had on the Exploits River.

Newfoundland's oldest and longest railway trestle spans the river in the middle of Bishop's Falls. The trestle and remnant railway bed are part of the Newfoundland portion of the Trans Canada Trail. The trail has a great view of the Bishop's Falls dam and power station.
