Cupids is on Conception Bay.  Among Cupids' aliases are Coopers and Copers Cove. Cupids is one of the oldest European settlements in North America.  39 colonists left Bristol England in 1610 under John Guy.  Their mission was to fortify the settlement at Cupids (then known as Cuper's Cove), determine what farming could be done, set up fishing related activities as well as other tasks relating to starting a settlement.

Crout's Way Hiking Trail is an advanced hiking trail that retraces the John Guy's path from 1612. Cupids Archaeology Dig Site is actively uncovering the original plantation site of the 1610 colony. Cupids Museum displays items from life in a rural Newfoundland fishing and farming community.
